President, Muna Khan
Muna Khan has been in the healthcare field more than 16 years – all at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He started in the Department of Finance as a Revenue Analyst and supported various Revenue Cycle functions for three years. After that, he joined the Department of Management Engineering and Internal Consulting, where he currently serves as a Senior Principal Health Systems Engineer. The vast majority of his projects over the last 13 years have been in Health Information Technology, and Business Consulting and Strategy – primarily focusing on design, planning, implementation and optimization of the electronic health record (EHR) and other clinical applications. Muna has led many multi-disciplinary teams and managed several institutional and enterprise projects involving physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other members of the healthcare team. He was a member of the Electronic Health Record and Revenue Cycle Management Selection Committee. He was actively involved in developing business plans for Mayo Clinic's Office of Information and Knowledge Management and also served as an inaugural member of Mayo Clinic Rochester's Clinical Decision Support Committee. He has been on the HIMSS MN Board of Directors for five years previously serving as Director of Programs and Director of Sponsorship. He has an MBA from the Carlson School of Management in Information & Decision Sciences as well as Strategic Management, and also an MPH from Emory University. President Elect - Cushmeer Haines
Cushmeer H. Haines has more than 20 years of business development, enterprise technology solution sales and national account management experience working for companies such as IBM, Microsoft and Xerox. In addition, he has also held management and leadership positions at companies providing consulting, managed and strategic staffing services to Fortune 500 companies including 3M, Medtronic, General Mills, and Wells Fargo.
Currently, he serves as the Healthcare Account Executive for Information Builders, providing solutions for business intelligence, analytics, data integration and data quality to Healthcare clients in the Midwest area.
Cushmeer received his BS in Engineering from Case Western Reserve University of Cleveland, Ohio, and an MBA from University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management in Strategic Management and Information & Decision Sciences. He has also completed the Mini-MBA in Health Care Information Management from the University of St. Thomas. Cushmeer has been on the HIMSS MN Board of Directors for five years, serving on Programs, Sponsorship and Organizational Affiliates. Cushmeer also serves on various other boards, and is actively involved in the community where he has a passion for working with underprivileged youth and exposing them to various careers and opportunities in the field of Information Technology.
Past President, Liz Murphy
Liz Murphy is working for UHC in the area of Clinical Data Analytics and HEDIS. Working directly with clinics and hospitals is her passion and helps her keep a close pulse on the ever changing world of Healthcare. As her responsibilities within HIMSS have increased, she has chosen to make HIMSS a primary focus for the next year. Liz has been involved with Healthcare for 25 years, on the clinical side, provider side, payer side, and is very well versed with HIT. Liz has held several leadership positions in Healthcare, touching various areas of the industry including Medicare, Medicaid, PBM, Clinical Management, Sales and Consulting. She has completed various successful implementations, migrations and branding efforts in her career. Liz is heading into her 8th year as a MN HIMS Board member and during this time, she has been working with Programs and Sponsorship. Along with her current leadership role as President of the MN Chapter, Liz is also serving as the co-chair for the Midwest Fall Technology Conference to be held in Minnesota November 13-15, 2016! Liz holds a BA in English from the College of St Catherine’s and a MBA in Healthcare from The College of St Thomas.

Programs Director, Alex Hoffman
Alex Hoffman is a Product Manager for Intelligent InSites, a healthcare operational data and consulting company based out of Fargo, ND. As a Product Manager, Alex is responsible for the development roadmap, marketing messaging, services offerings, and pricing framework for all Asset Management and Environmental Monitoring solutions. Prior to being a Product Manager Alex has held several roles in sales, partnerships, and project management. In those roles he worked directly with people at all levels of healthcare provider organizations and vendors alike. Alex holds a B.S. in Business Administration from North Dakota State University and is a Certified LEAN Master. Originally from the Twin Cities, Alex enjoys spending his spare time at the lake and exploring Minnesota’s state parks.
Treasurer, Joel Morrison
Joel Morrison currently serves as Healthcare Enterprise Account Executive for Connection Enterprise in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa and Wisconsin. Joel has been involved in healthcare for over 20 years and he holds an AAS degree in Radiologic Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. His background includes roles as radiologic technologist, PACS administrator, EHR administrator, clinic/billing manager, pharmacy technician and application trainer. Joel has a strong foundation in the areas of implementation, integration, interoperability, account management and strategic relationships. He has experience working for healthcare organizations including Ministry Health Care, Advanced Imaging, Bone & Joint Center, Siemens and Nuance; his combined clinical and technical background benefit him in comprehending your entire healthcare IT ecosystem from the data center to the providers, and encompassing all areas in-between.

Todd is one of the few national experts on EPIC/EHR implementations and brings over 16 years of experience within the healthcare. With a proven track record of success in complex, fast-paced environments, Todd is equally adept at establishing and mentoring teams during transition periods. Advocacy Chair, Lynn Choromanski, PhD, RN-BC
Dr. Choromanski received her doctoral degree in 2011 from the University of Minnesota, School of Nursing. She has over 39 years of nursing experience. Her nursing experience is varied including; psychiatric, maternal/child, community, telehealth, school nursing and nursing informatics. She is currently employed as a health informatics specialist at MVNA in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Choromanski is responsible for maintaining and expanding the use of clinical information systems within family health, home health and hospice care divisions at MVNA. Dr. Choromanski was a community faculty member teaching informatics at Metropolitan State University and University of Kansas. She is an active member of the nursing informatics community working on the Big Data conference workgroup to model the value of nursing through electronic health record documentation.

Student Affairs Chair, David Marc
David Marc, PhD, CHDA is an assistant professor and the health informatics graduate program director at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. Dr. Marc has a master’s degree in biological sciences and a PhD in health informatics from the University of Minnesota and is a certified health data analyst (CHDA). He serves as the chair of the AHIMA foundation research network, an instructor for the CHDA exam prep workshops, an elected member of the AHIMA Council for Excellence in Education (CEE), a former presenter for the AHIMA faculty development regional meetings, and a frequent speaker at state and national association meetings. He is an accomplished writer recently co-editing the textbook Data Analytics in Healthcare Research: Tools and Strategies through AHIMA press.

Lance Guth currently serves as the Director of Business/Financial/Administative Applications for Mayo Clinic Health System. Lance has been involved with Healthcare Technology for 14 years, having previously worked for LSS Data Systems, the Meditech partnered practice management software vendor. A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls IA, Lance’s goals as chapter president are to continue to increase the awareness of health information technology industry changes focused on improving health care quality, increase patient safety and reduce health care costs.

Dharani Ramamoorthy is the CEO and founder of Xylo Technologies Inc. He has accumulated over fifteen (15) years of project management, systems administration, software development and IT consulting experience. His prior work experience includes companies such as Mayo Clinic, IBM and Seagate where he served as a senior IT consultant. His expertise covers a vast arena of programming languages, projects including: database driven web and client server applications. During his tenure as a consultant at Mayo, he was part of the team which developed an Enterprise Image Viewer application called QReads which is used by Clinicians to view different image modalities and the associated radiology reports in the same application.

Hunt C. Russell is Co-founder and Senior Vice President for 7 Medical Systems, a healthcare cloud and SaaS (Software as a Service) provider headquartered in Minneapolis, MN providing EMR hosting solutions along with PACS/Teleradiology solutions for small to mid-size healthcare organizations nationwide and Brazil. He has 30+ years of healthcare and IT experience. He has worked previously for the Navy as a naval officer stationed at the Oakland Naval Hospital located in Oakland, CA and the Naval Medical Center located in San Diego, CA where he managed the IT Departments at both locations over 7 years. His career moved him to Eau Claire, WI where he lead the IT organization for the Luther Regional Healthcare System (now part of the Mayo Regional Health System). He has held management and executive positions with two other companies since then focusing on providing solutions to small to mid-size healthcare organizations in the Midwest. Hunt received his undergraduate degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, CA.
Midwest Fall Technology Conference, Margaret Senn
Margaret Senn, MS, RN has been an Informatics Nurse Specialist at Mayo Clinic Rochester since 2003. Before this, she was the RN Coordinator - Computer Projects involved with the implementation of the Automated Medication Dispensing Devices in the patient care areas. Her background in nursing includes general care staff nursing working primarily in General Surgery / Trauma. Ms. Senn has worked with the development and implementation of clinical systems in critical care, general care, OB, and outpatient clinic settings. Ms. Senn is currently assisting with development and maintenance of the current orders and nursing protocols in the EMR. Work with multidisciplinary teams to assure that the EMR met the practice needs.
