Call for Speaker Proposals for the Spring Conference on Tuesday, May 21, 2019
The 18th Annual HIMSS Minnesota Conference will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Crown Plaza in Plymouth, MN. The theme for this year's conference is Patient Centricity. This conference brings together HIMSS members and non-members to share their knowledge and learn about current events in healthcare IT throughout Minnesota. In order to ensure good representation and access to knowledgeable speakers, we are sending this call for presentation proposals for the conference.
Abstracts for speakers are due 5pm Friday, March 15, 2019. If you are passionate about sharing a great success story or know of others who might be interested in presenting, please review the abstract submission link below. There are three tracks for presentations:
1. Cyber Security – how technology can help protect healthcare systems and information from the evolving
2. Quality of Care – how different strategies, solutions and technologies are being used to improve the quality of care.
3. Emerging Technologies in Healthcare – how emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, Block Chain, and Virtual Reality are impacting healthcare.
Selected participants will be notified by early April. Selected participants must notify HIMSS of their acceptance within three days of notification and register for the conference by April 12, 2019. The registration fee for the conference is waived for selected participants
